i *love* fabric markers

I’m trying to get out to Vancouver this weekend to visit my family and get a much needed dose of city into me. I’m out of all my notions and my fabrics are running low. I love Textile Clearing House, Dress Sew and sometimes Fabricana to pick up my goods. There are a few fabric […]

I Hear you on the fabric markers! I just wish we even had a store called Textile Clearing House. Sounds delicious! Good luck with you new venues. They sound great.

slice of heaven

Myself and the boys took a few days off to stay with some good friends who were renting a house in Tofino. We’ve been to Tofino many times but it’s a place that always shows you more. I went without John, driving the 5 hour stretch alone with B and J. I tell you after […]

Hi Christina, Hope you and little J are feeling better!

little tips

Every so often I get an email from someone asking how I do a certain ‘thing’ on my doll. Whether it be attaching hair or putting a doll together. I always try to answer these questions because I remember when I was starting out many years ago wondering about the very questions I get asked […]

I just made my first Waldorf style doll yesterday and I’m thrilled! The sewing is not phenomenal, and it’s only a simple blanket doll, but it was wonderful. If you post another tip, I’d love to know a good way to sew the head to the blanket (or to the doll body in the case of the big kids). It is absolutely my wonkiest area. Beautiful work, I so enjoy this peek into your life!

new ideas

I’m working on a few new ideas for clothing right now. One of which is this cute little top. I work with a friend of mine Constance who pattern drafts them up for me. I love the cute look and versitility of this piece. This gal is going to Toronto to a photo shoot. More […]

Happy New Year Christina! You list for the new year is fill with fun and enjoyable “tasks”. I commend you for writing it down. I can’t wait to see what you come up with this year.

Jackie – Circle Craft is a huge craft show in November in Vancouver. It’s six days of intense crafting and crowds. You have to be able to have the stock to handle that kind of crowd, so that’s what I’m working towards.
Berrie- thanks lady! I can’t wait to see what you come up with too! I look forward to a year of working with you 🙂 I’m thinking that the 10 number is a good number, up from the 5 that I originally thought. I think if I let it go altogether I’d miss it. I think you know what I mean with the number…
