This doll is beautiful, just like all the other ones! My 20mo daughter would just be extatic to welcome her in our home. She doesn’t have one yet, but her eyes light up and she has this big smile whenever she sees me checking them out on the computer screen… I don’t know what it is, but she really connects with them somehow.

Thank you Christina for brightening up so many little girls lives with your dolls. You have a true talent! I admire you for staying true to your values and wanting to keep your business manageable (lol right now not so much with the Christmas rush). I love the fact that your dolls are made with Canadian wool, for me it’s something very dear to my heart. I was born and raised just south of Ottawa on a sheep farm. Ok and don’t laugh at this but I was crowned Miss Eastern Ontario Sheep Princess back in the 80’s and part of my duty was to promote the Canadian wool industry in Canada. And most of all it’s nice to be able to give my daughter something that is Canadian made as it’s a rarity these days.
So again, thanks for all that you give our daughters, because as you know it goes well beyond just a doll!

Heard about your dolls a couple of years ago and couldn’t afford one at that time. Now that I can afford them I can’t get them. The irony of life sometimes. I’ll keep trying but I am also willing to accept that if I wasn’t meant to have one it won’t happen and if I was it will. With three kids if I only get one it will be tough to decide who gets it. At least I know that my kids will be getting handmade toys and gifts from across Canada no matter if I get a Bamboletta or not.

Yesterday morning, I was one of the many who attempted to purchase a doll (Noelle, specifically) for my daughter. Absolutely amazing! I’ve never seen anything like it…after going to “check out” with my first choice, I thought I should go back to the home page at 11:02 (EST) to purchase a second doll (heeding your warnings and thinking I might have had a slim chance for the first choice), and when I did, all of those sweet dolls were sold out. You and your family of mamas and papas have made so many little girls happy; I just can’t wait until my little one can cuddle with her own bamboletta.

I had been looking long, but apparently not hard enough!, for a sweet, simple, non-plastic/factory-made doll for my four year old daughter. Ava has been requesting a doll that she can dress and undress with ‘cute clothes like me’ and I had settled for a doll that I wasn’t crazy about but knew my daughter would like her!

I was so happy to learn about your dolls! I have a daughter who is 3 in February. Her favourite play activity at the moment is to dress up her stuffed animals and oversized puppet from Folkmanis called Curlylocks. Serephina, a doll that has clothes expecially made for her would be a huge bonus, as currently my daughter takes her own clothes, from underwear to blouses, and forces them to fit on all her stuffies and Curlylocks. Serephina would be a great addition to our family! We hope to also be a lucky download for the Custom doll today at 6pm. I like the natural toys and try to stay away from plastic. Your dolls really are treasures, and I am glad that you are holding true to the process that makes them so special. This is the magic, and challenge, of handmade items. They are not mass-produced, so not everyone can have one. But you would lose an essential part of what Bambolettas are if you sacrificed that.
I liken it to having or adopting a baby. You don’t really know what it will look like even though you may have chosen the hair or eyes. And part of the excitement is the waiting and hoping and wondering what this little addition to your family will be like. We’re not simply just “buying” a doll for our little ones, but adopting a lifelong friend/sister/brother/companion. How can you rush that? And why would you want to? And through this process you become a part of the Bamboletta family. It’s really a lot more than just buying a doll.
I’m excited about these big developments for Bamboletta!

Hello Christina – many thanks for the beautiful doll you made for my granddaughter in the summer – she arrived just before the new baby brother – and she was so full of life! And thank you for the little pixie you sent for James, that was very kind of you. Your dolls are real people to our children – we are all so grateful for the love you put into them – it really shows! What a lovely reminder. I think it’s hard to people to understand the entire lengthy process of handmaking something. I think it’s so amazing that you are willing to stay your current size and not feel like you have to expand, especially when you don’t want to. So awesome! Thank you Christina, for being so commited to lovingly providing such special dolls for our children.
The image you have got lately, I suppose, is because of the soul you give each doll you make. I’m so glad we managed to get Koah and Lisette( The Little Seth as Elisabeth call her:) before the “rush” started in here. Wish you all a peaceful Christmas!
Christina, I think it is these values that led me to love your dolls in the first place. It is your loving caring virtues that are put into these dolls that make them so special. They would be lacking something terribly and just be plain dolls otherwise. You bring so much happiness to so many homes. I can’t imagine what that must feel like or imagine ever wanting to give that up. You are truly special.
I just wanted to chime in and say how amazing you and these wonderful dolls are. I was lucky enough to sneak in right before the custom ordering deadline, and Santa will be bringing “Nellie” to Julianne this Christmas. She is truly AMAZING, and I have to stop myself daily from pulling her out of hiding to oohhh and ahhhh over her! Julianne will be over the moon excited when she sees her Christmas morning — I’ll be sure to snap some pictures when she meets her new mommy! Thanks so much!!

Sometimes good things come in small packages…or in this case small batches. Each one evident in the love and care then went into crafting it…I say crafting as these Bambolettas are not manufactured or produced, but lovingly created to bring joy to all (mamans, girls, boys…and even dads : ) I’ve enjoyed watching in the last year or so as more and more families become aware… as customs, ready to go and clothing disappear off the sight in minutes. This is a testiment to your hard work: Christina, John and all the others. Keep up the good work! On a side note, getting Bea ready for Christmas…can.hardly.wait!! LOL

Love the white background mushroom one with the snails…My kids like that because there are so many of them here. and of course the strawberry. We are too big fans of the squirrel one too and then I also like the doll one…Have you seen the downloadable dolls like that you can make from paper at Mahar Dry Goods…So cute, Waiting for the 15th…..
Oh I love the My Folklore fabric too!!!! And I think others do too. I sold out in a week after I posted it and then found out that the manufacturer has discontinued it and is no longer printing it. NOOOOOOOOOOOO!
I know my daughter is a bit young for the dolls but can I just purchase a shirt for a future doll made with this fabric? LOL.

hello friend! yes, the bandwidth and I’m looking at figuring out how to make this whole process more streamlined. we had almost 1200 people on the site at the same time all after the Friday dolls. i’m learning all sorts of website things, like how to ‘span’ your site – very interesting. you are totally first on my list April – you know that 🙂 xo c
I love the new fabric!! I think it’s great that so many families are looking to get a bamboletta. I’m glad I ordered Marlie’s custom in July though. I hope you have a wonderful Holiday time with your family and do hope you take a much needed break (and go see New Moon??) I’ve seen it twice and can’t wait for Eclipse! 😀
