Happy New Year and a Little Update!

Hi friends!

Happy New Year! I hope that everyone had a holiday break .. we had a lovely few days off. The boys and I had some much needed downtime. I go a bit full on in December with the dolls so it was nice to catch my breath.

I am SO excited about 2018. For the first time ever, we made a plan. Like a year long what is happening when kinda plan. I want to shift our focus a little over to clothing and theme kind of stuff .. so, like at the end this month is International Pie Day (no joke!) so we created these super cute cooking sets with oven mitts, an apron and a chef hat and they are RIDICULOUSLY cute. So, with this theme we will have a colouring page, our newsletter full of pie recipes and then this sweet little upload with the sets available. My Virgo self LOVES this sort of thing. This way we have these fun things to play around with and chat about in our community through the whole year.

So, talking community, I’d like to touch base a little on our social media platforms. I swear these weird Facebook algorithms are making it harder and harder for our customers to see what’s going on on our page. I was all excited about Instagram a few years ago, but since being taken over by Facebook, they too do this weird non chronological thing and make things harder for my customers to see what I post. So, why am I telling you this, well, I’d like to ask for your help. If you see one of our posts, please ‘Like’ it, or if you feel so inclined, leave a comment! If a post is especially cute it helps us a bunch if you ‘Share’ it. Tagging your friends on our Instagram is pretty amazing for us too.

I want to thank everyone for all the incredible doll love! Seeing all the doll and child pics over the holidays really just makes my heart sing. Not a day goes by that I don’t think I am one of the luckiest people on earth to get to do this for a living.

xoxo,
Christina

Colouring Page – Art Class

Art classes are such a magical place for kids. I take my little Jasper to pottery classes with Miss Helen and the pride that kid exudes when he shows me something he’s made with his little hands makes me feel like my heart’s about to burst. So, as an ode to Art Classes here’s today’s colouring page! You can download it here to print out (make sure your printer is set to horizontal!).

Enjoy!

As a FYI this week is a little screwy with uploads. We will have dolls up tomorrow at 3pm and clothing at 4pm. Next week will see kits and a picco clothing sale ๐Ÿ™‚

Piccolina Kits!

Hi friends!

As many of you know, every so often we have kits available on the site. I LOVE offering these kits because I have this little hope that whoever makes them will get the same feeling that I do when I make the dolls. We haven’t had as many of them available as I’d like to this past year as we have a limited amount of lady power and our focus for 2017 was on making available dolls for the site. Anyhow, Audrey and I have been mapping out our 2018 and have put more emphasis on creating and having more doll kits available for sale. The plan is that we will have a batch up each month – on a regular basis. The kits have been met with much joy, which makes me so happy, and we’ve had great feedback from them. ย Look at these pics!! They just fill my heart!

So, 2018 will have more kits and more clothing available. We saw how much joy and excitement was caused by costumes and speciality items and want to bring more of that to you. Of course, still making the dolls but we will be taking creation of those back a little. Bamboletta is something that I am constantly tending and growing and flowing with – I feel so fortunate that I’m able to ebb and flow with it – balancing what my lovely doll community desires, what is best for my sewing mamas, Audrey and my family and myself. It makes what I do constantly feel fresh and exciting and I love it.

Thanks so much friends!
xoxo

Jeanne Flaman - December 18, 2017 - 5:38 pm

Christina I made my Piccolina, Joelle 2 1/2 years ago. A friend and I had a lovely day together each making one. I’m so loving all the pink purple turquoise hair I think I’m going to have to find some yarn in those colours. Joelle told me she wants a burst of colour. She’s also tired of wearing the same dress every day so I know she is excited about the possibility of some new clothes.

Wishing you and your family and bamboletta family a Christmas filled with joy, laughter, some rest and lots of love.

Colouring Page – Helping Hearts

I think this is my favourite colouring page so far. So much of this season is about giving and caring for our community – I wanted to create a sweet page for our little ones to colour to show one way of how people can take care of one another. To download the page click here and please make sure your printer settings are set to horizontal ๐Ÿ™‚ .

Gnome Time – Colouring Page

You may have seen our Gnome’s we released a few weeks back – I think they were some of the cutest dolls we’ve ever made. We made up 12 and they sold in under a minute – so I take it we will make more next year ๐Ÿ˜‰ Anyhow, the gnome love inspired this week’s colouring page! Click Here to download and don’t forget to change your printer settings to landscape. ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks so much!
