Coming along ….

New shop space is coming along very nicely … in case you have no idea what I’m talking about, I’m moving my shop into our studio. The perfect spot opened up beside us so we banged through a wall and have moved over a bit! Here’s the progress so far. I’ll be sure to post […]

Your dolls are wonderful and you philosophy of having children be children even more wonderful in this day and age of glitz and Barbie Dolls etc. My grand daughters each have a doll and the new grand baby will hopefully get one by age two. Please keep up your fabulous work on so many fronts. I sew and realize how long it takes to make quality products and the love that is shared each time you do. Many blessings to all you staff. You are making the world a better place.
Sincerely, melanie

Can I just say that I would LOVE to move into your studio, and have it as my room! (Not sure that my husband would love it as much as I do) Its so beautiful and inviting, and all those gorgeous dolls! I hope to one day be able to stop by, even though I live in Las Vegas, in the US. Anyways, it looks amazing!

In what order are the hair, eyes and outfit placed on the doll? Clothes on a body and then eyes and hair to coordinate? This combination is WOW! as are all of your dolls.

Brooke at Bamboletta - May 24, 2013 - 2:40 pm

Hair is first, then eyes and then the clothes! It’s really fun to coordinate the clothing after the hair and face are put on :)

Studio Tip: Ankles

I have been sewing Bamboletta Dolls for about four years and now I have the pleasure of helping Christina train new sewers.  So much thought, care and loving detail goes into each doll.  Doll making has been a part of humankind for a very long time and at Bamboletta we are so proud to be carrying […]

Excellent tip!! I use the length of my thumb knuckle… but pins would be more precise. hehe

Little Visitors

Since the weather has warmed up, all sorts of little visitors have come out to play on our property. Dragonflies, hummingbirds, bumblebees and frogs. Not too long ago after arriving home from work, my daughter Emily announced that a bird had flown into her room. So with soft reassuring whispers we carefully cupped it in […]

I grew up in a family of critter rescuers. The memories of so many of our saved friends has always stayed with me. What a lovely way to teach your daughter that “we are all connected, and a part of something greater”. Beautifully written!! :)
