There’s lots of green in my life right now. The explosion of new leaves all around me now is astounding – it is such a beautiful time of year. Maybe because our eyes are dulled over the winter over here by the constant grey, spring just seems so – well- bright. I think this has definitely inspired my doll making as of late. Most fabric that I’ve chosen has been green lately and the majority of my stock dolls have had green eyes. Funny how we are influenced by things whether we are aware of it or not.
Now THIS is the cutest outfit I’ve ever seen. This was made over at Little Seedlings by Jane. I have some of these in the shop right now. Sometimes I get in doll clothing, etc and hesitate to put it up I just want to keep it all to my self and stare at it all day , it’s just so cute. That makes no sense I know.
How does one stay so thin with all that cheese around?
Today my mom and I went into Salt Spring Island for the Saturday Market. There were 3 different cheese vendors so needless to say, a great time was had by all. I picked up a bag of the best coconut macaroons with bits of dried wild cherry and dark chocolate in it. If you’ve been reading my blog for a while you will know about my love of the coconut macaroon. Well, anyhow, they are ALL gone – John didn’t even know about them and I’m seriously thinking about going back there next week to pick up more.
Things are somewhat back to normal over here next week as far as our work and life rhythm so hopefully I’ll get back into a regular blogging habit. I’ve really missed it!
So, on the dolls (I always feel as though I should say something about them) I’m working on a few to post this week. We are tying up a big order and getting ready for 2 giveaways this month – but towards the end of the month- stay tuned!
HUGE shout out and congrats to Mike and Con over this post on Apartment Therapy! Yes, Apartment Therapy! I am SO happy for them!
