On Oct. 20, 08 I received the most devastating phone call anyone should have to receive! The caller informed me that my niece had received a broken femur from being abused. I automatically thought this was one of my older nieces that was 4 or 5 at the time. When the caller informed me it was my four month old niece I couldn’t catch my breath and my head was spinning! I was asked to attend her surgery to repair her femur in a town an hour and a half away. I told the caller that I would be there as fast as my car could go! when we arrived at the hospital we found out that her arm had been broken a month before and had healed itself! I brought that beautiful broken angel home with me 3 days later in a bright pink cast that extended from her breast all the way down both legs! We changed her diaper through a hole in her cast! one on the inside and one on the outside! she also had a soft splint on arm to protect it! That lil baby is now 2 years and 8 months old and still in our home! We are two months away from adoption and I wanted her to have a special doll to commemorate the special occasion. Tonight as she sat in my lap she pointed to pumpkin on the screen! I thought it ironic because I call her my lil angel pumpkin! Please consider us when you pick a good home for pumpkin because we feel we have provided a good home for our lil angel pumpkin! Thanks for your time and consideration!
