I love studio/ workroom shots- as I’m sure most of you know by now. This quote is by Kathe Krause, amazing dollmaker from the 1900’s out of Germany. I tried to google her but only got sites where you can buy Krause dolls, but I’ve seen the website before. I’m not very good at searching online. This other picture is of my crazy messy embroidery thread basket and a doll I was working on a few days ago, the sweet pincushion was made for me by lovely Tracey as a birthday presents. I love pincushions, so many pincushions – but I always seem to have pins everywhere. I always feel like the worst mother ever when Jasper is crawling around on the floor of my workroom and Ben starts screaming ‘There’s a pin! A pin!”. Ben, my eldest, is nicknamed Mr. Safety Officer. I have one of those telescoping magnets that John got me as part of a birthday present one year (no joke), but I never use it unless the pins get caught between the baseboard and the laminate. God, you really didn’t need to know that.
Anyhow, I’m doing another Win A Doll contest to welcome ,what I believe are, some new readers to my blog. I finally figured out the stats thing for my website and it looks like there are some new peeps. Anyhow, what a better way to celebrate then to have a Win A Doll contest. I have a pretty girl that I’ll finish up tomorrow morning and post about it at night sometime.
