Favorite things …

This feels like a bit of a superficial blog post but I wanted to share a few things that are making me happy lately … I used to do blog posts like this all the time but haven’t for a very long time … nothing at all doll related.

First off – Bumble and Bumble Curl Reactivating Spray. Us gals with curly hair have to help each other out – the difference between a good hair product and a bad one is monumental to how our hair looks. I am loving this spray for the ‘day after’ you wash your hair. Just spray some in, diffuse, omgosh fresh, lovely hair!

Next up is hand knit wool socks. I spend hours a week curled up on a chair and warm feet are key .. my feet are always cold. Fall makes me excited because I can break out the wool socks! Even better are the Padraig slippers made over in North Vancouver with yummy sheepskin insoles. From birth each of my boys have had these slippers on their feet. This is a company that I can see Bamboletta being like when it ‘grows up’ – they’ve been doing what they do for 30 years and have stayed true to what they believe in.

I’ve had to cut a lot of things from my diet this past few months and my days of milky and sugary tea is over. Sigh. I’ve developed quite a love for herbal teas – especially the herbal tea over at Tea Farm. My mouth is watering just thinking about it ….. Lovely tea and lovely company.

So – there you have it .. three of my favorite things right now. Hope you all have a great week ๐Ÿ™‚

Hey, C! Never heard of that curl spray, but I’ve been on the prowl for GREAT curly hair products; my little one’s hair is curly and I just didn’t know what I was doing with it most of the time…! I’m learning a LOT lately (including the fact that there are curly hair APPS on iTunes…who knew?!?) There’s a book I’m trying to get through a paperback swap club about curly hair, too. The biggest thing I learned recently is that soap/shampoo is murder on curly hair. WOW! I’m totally trying to learn more so her hair can look as great as it can. Thanks for the product advice! (I’d love to try the slippers, too…) :o)

Ooo… I’m gonna have to try that curl mist. I had found a really great spray for my curly hair and of course it has be discontinued. So I am in the market for something new.

Hmmm, thanks for the tip on the Bumble & Bumble. My salon sells it but I haven’t tried it – we have similar texture hair, so it might be just the thing! And we love Padraigs too!

We love the Padraig slippers! I bought my daughter two pairs of them for the winter. They are beautifully designed and the colours are gorgeous. They make her chubby baby feet look so cute and cozy.

Thank you for the tip on the bumble and bumble…I (don’t know how but) have a little girl with curly hair and I have no idea how to highlight the curls (genetic abberations?) without making them greasy or frizzy!

Love the Padraig slippers we have and the one in your pic is exactly the same colour as mine. Except mine are like 10 yrs old and ratty beyond anything but they still keep me warm and happy on cold winter nights ๐Ÿ™‚

Are the Padraig slippers bulky? I have a pair of Haflinger slippers that are nice and warm, but kind of floppy.
