Okay, my kids are somewhat settled and we have chosen a winner for Annabelle….
Allison Bloom– you are Annabelle’s new family!
Just to let you know how we did this. We made it WAY more complicated then it needed be. John hand-wrote, yes hand-wrote, everyones name on pieces of paper. We went through all the comments and the new subscribers, it was well over 200 little bits of paper, then put it in a basket and Benjamin drew a name before he went to bed. I should have taken a photo but I can’t find any batteries for the camera. There is a funny story about why I ran out of camera batteries so quickly this time. It has something to do with my sister, a pan flute and Abba, but she has sworn me to not post about it. Anyhow, I know I could have assigned everyone a number and then pick a number but somehow this seemed more fitting and I wasn’t the one writing out everyone’s name and double checking against my subscriber list. I love my husband.
Fingers Crossed 🙂
ooh, i hope it’s us!
me me, pick me!!!
Congratulations Allison! You are one lucky lady! I hope Annabelle is well loved in her new home.
Thanks for such a fun contest Christina (and way to go Christina’s hubby!)

Congratulations Allison*
Thank You to John, Christina, Benjamin and Jasper for a great contest.
All the best to your family.
Hi, thanks for dropping by my blog – glad you found my post (spam filters can be a pain sometimes). Yes Melissa’s illustrations are wonderful :0)
I really must add a link to you from my site!
Oh Christina, the things you make John do. Next time, if you put all the names on an excel worksheet you can use this website http://andrew.hedges.name/experiments/random/ to choose a number for you and just pick the row that corresponds with that number.
Thanks for not posting the pan flute videos, that was so embarrassing!
[…] Annabelle arrived at the post office while we were on our vacation. I finally got to go pick her up today! I was so excited, I opened the box in the car and didn’t think even for a second of letting my daughter open it. (And Christina put in this teeny tiny clothespin holding together her business cards, cleaning instructions, and a super-cute little mushroom fairy card!) […]
