I’m so tired right now I’m nauseous, but I had to write this down. You have to check out my friend Erin’s blog and her May 28th Post titled ‘What would Steiner Say’. You’ll have a laugh. I kid not, Jasper has slept 45 minutes since 6:30 this morning, it’s now 11:30pm. This has to […]

I love people who wear skirts over pants. It’s an especially nice look if you have a bit of ‘muffin top’ and like the extra layer of skirt to smooth things over. I’ve always been very hesitant about wearing a ‘skirpant’ combo, I just don’t have the fashion guts because a little part of me […]
That’s so funny – I never wear those either, because I always feel like I’m trying too hard then. But maybe now that you bitten the bullet, I should give it a try too? Skir-pants world domination! (Can you tell I’ve had too much coffee this morning??)
Good idea, an aupair. Do you get to interview them yourself? That way you can eliminate the vixens. ๐
Right, I should really stop now and get rid of that excess caffeine…
i don’t think it would take much convincing ๐
you should see my mayfest photos… it’s one skir-panted mama after another. inspiration perhaps?
I know what you mean Meike, that was what I was trying to say! You try it too! You can be my skirpant sister! You can interview them yourself, Id liket o get one with experience and maybe one that sews! Wouldn’t that be great?
okay Erin, I know Tracey is in too! let’s start a commune!
Ha! Devon, I need to see the skirpant pics. I think I tend to go more lohan/olsen then hippie. I have to see them. Are you in on Salt Spring too?
Even though really I’ve had kind of a ‘bad’ week with Julie and Rachel leaving me to attend to spiritual matters, it’s actually been one of the best weeks for me for Bamboletta Love. I think it worked out this way so that I keep the faith about my vision for Bamboletta and what I […]
It was great to see you at the market! I really do love your work. And the brother dolls are adorable. =)
Thanks Amber!
such handsome dolls!
Thanks Naomi. Hey, did you send an email about clothing or did I imagine it? I was going through my spam and I think you were in there. Why, I don’t know? I may just be telling lies ๐
Hi Christina!!! I just LOVED the pic of the dolls…the boys can’t wait for them to arrive. And it DOES look like them….Can’t wait! Thank you so much!
I just got back this afternoon from another weekend in the ‘big city’. I went to attend my first Farmer’s Market on Saturday at Trout Lake. I took all the stock that I had, mostly so that I had a few extra hands (mom, sister, Nonna) to help me tag everything. I did not expect […]
So glad to hear the farmers market went well! I am so sad I live all the way in florida or I would have come ๐ id have loved to see all those little doll faces… Next time the shelf gets full, be sure to get a pic and post for all of us to see!
Lindsay
Big hugs to you Christina during this time of transition. I hope all goes well as you get into a new groove. I wish I were closer! I’d love to work with you!
Congratulations on the successful Farmer’s Market! How many adoptions did you complete? ๐
I adopted out 12 big dolls and a whole bunch of little ones! Thanks Lindsay, I wish you lived here too ๐
Monica, it’s really nice over here in Cobble Hill, are you sure I can’t convince you to move ๐ I’ll be back up and running in no time.. it’s always when a lot of things move that great things come in, it’s a bit frustrating but I know it’s all for the best!
How cool you got so much response and sold so well!! Congratulations! Now you need lots of time to make new once, difficult if your trusted people are on to new things (which sounds so great and exciting for them!). I’m sure you’ll work it out. Are you doing more markets?
Christine from the NL
I’m doing one more market in August on the 16th at the same place. Thanks for the congrats, it felt really good to get such a lovely response. It was a LOT of repeat buyers, sibling dolls, and people who remembered me from previous markets.. and quite a few blog readers..which makes me laugh because I do think no one reads the blog! ha! now I think there are 25 people reading it ๐
I’m excited for Julie and Rachel too. It’s been quite nice to have Julie around to chat with about things in life..her and I can talk forever. She needs to share her gift with the world now ๐
Wow – conngrats on the big sale! And good luck on finding new helpers. I’m sure they won’t be long – who wouldn’t want to work with you?!
thanks Meike! it’s the childcare help i dread looking for the most, it’s hard introducing someone new into your child’s life, it’s only for a few hours in the morning, but i really need to find the right person.
Hi Christina, Congratulations on your Trout Lake sales! Must have been mayhem… good mayhem. I wanted to say I like your mammas-making-dolls idea. What a great way to bring your dolls into the world… and a great community development idea. Good wishes to you!
I read too and I bet there are many who just haven’t let you know! Congrats on the great market success. And good luck as you search for new support…it’s out there! My daughter has a “mini” version of herself that we received from you at Christmas time and we love her. I wish I could give every little person I know one of your dolls. Maybe one day I will learn to make one myself. Thanks for what you do.
yay you! glad the market went so well!
you know i’m available for mindless menial labour…
I understand completely – my husband is looking for a new job at the moment, so we can move to a more quiet part of the country, and the thing I dread most is having to find a new daycare centre for my daughter. She’s finally gotten used to the lovely girls that look after her now – it took her over a year!!
Thanks Megan!
I’m so glad that your little girl loves her doll Molly ๐
It’s really tough isn’t it Meike, Jasper is easier because he is little, but Benj is more difficult- he is so sensitive to people and his surroundings.
Aww Christina, really it was nothing all I did was make change and swipe cards…and helped set up the caravan…so really it was nothing and I enjoyed it (minus you forgetting the van lights on and draining the battery – why did you turn on the lights anyway, it was sunny outside?)
See, I read your blog!
If you add a counter you know how many readers you have. ๐ I use statcounter.com, works really well!
My Jasper’s been forgoing naps lately, too. Maybe some kind of lunar madness? It’s really horrible!
Okay, the gin and tonic and cigarettes was hilarious. Because it wasn’t my kid. Yikes!
What is with the Jasper’s? I’m a pretty patient and laid back gal, but this is driving me mental!
I love the G&T story, lol, if you knew her little girl Willa, it makes it even more funny. She’s the cutest thing and so sassy!
Oh, my Trevor is not sleeping for the past week either. My dh asked me if he needed a baby too. ๐ lol Now, off to read your blog link. ๐
Oh my gosh! That’s a riot! What I wouldn’t do for a T&T myself! Hey, it’s 5o’clock somewhere-right? lol
I know all about babies sleeping very little, sometimes I’m desperate for a break and they’re both taking turns sleeping, it’s exhausting!
I always think: “this too shall pass, it’s all different next week!” ๐
Off to read your friends story.

Thanks Christine! It’s always when you don’t think you can handle another day of it that it changes, it gets better. I’m still waiting, but it can’t go on forever. This time is so fleeting.
