I didn’t mean to not let all of you in on the Heather Ross Unicorn fabric – Cynthia over at Fabricworm will have it very soon. The last batch she had sold out really quickly. I’m getting some in a blue colourway and fushia and am so excited. Does anyone else become a little breathless when they see fabric they like? I recently placed an order for some things from Clover – I can not believe I spent as much money as I did on needles! Sewing needles, designer thimbles (seriously, check it out) and thread cutters that can also be worn as  pendants. These products come in from Japan – man alive, they take handsewing seriously! I was almost hyper ventilating when I was going through the wholesale catalogue, pages and pages of notions.

I’m working on getting around 7 dolls up this week. Lots of blondes for no other reason then I ran out of mohair for my brunettes. Depending on how tonight goes with the boys sleeping (if they sleep through) I may even have 2 little ones done as well.  I should go and sew while all is quiet!

I’ve only just started sewing and I’m blown away by how addicted to fabric I’ve become. I was just thinking yesterday that I need some “rule” to help keep my fabric addiction from getting out of hand.

Candace – did you see that they have adjustable tension things – it’s just taken it to a whole new level I didn’t know existed.
Ashley- Be careful- you will end up with bins and bins of the stuff. If you keep an eye on the Fabricworm blog, she often posts 20% off coupons.

I’m loving those thimbles! You’re right, they are so cute-and practical. I love that combo. Before I started doing alot of handsewing, I used to think thimbles were so old fashioned. Who really needs them?? Well, lol now I do :0) I could so be a “kid in a candy shop” with that Fabricworm catalog.

I tried to find the designer coin thimbles on their site but they just don’t seem to be there. Did you find them on a different site?

Thimbles are actually a necessity I decided!! My fingers were numb for a whole day after sewing and embroidering my felt owl!!! I will look these up because I didn’t even know some of these types existed! Thanks for the info!!!! (p.s. there’s nothing wrong with blonde… we happen to like our hair color!! 😉
