You know I’ve always been hesitant to blog because I thought what went on behind the scenes was a little boring – probably because it’s what I do week to week. But there are a bunch of you ladies (that I love so much) that probably do find what we do interesting. I know when I started out dollmaking I would have loved to read about ‘boring’ things .. like doll skin!
My shipment of dollskin was shipped out May 27th and I just got it a few days ago. It’s a long way from the Netherlands and there was a sizable delay due to the Canada Post lockout. I love our doll skin and it’s well worth the wait! I ordered in fair, beige, dark tan and dark – my normal order. I was very excited because it’s been weeks since I had dark or dark tan skin and my beige was running really, really low. I got my order in and eagerly opened the big box – there was my fair, my dark tan and a new color that I didn’t order- sort of a blush color. There was a mix up and I was sent the blush color instead beige and no dark skin tone (they are out of stock so it will be some time before I get the dark skin in again ๐ ). This blush color isn’t something I’d normally order – I got into a sort of routine with ordering ‘my’ colors and never ventured out. Well, it’s AWESOME and I love it – so warm and lovely and just gorgeous with dark hair. I am in love! Here’s the new tone …
Thanks to you ladies for sending in your doll love pictures! I have a contest going on for people to send through their Bamboletta Love pictures – it runs to the end of the month and the winners get a doll outfit and their pictures hung up in our new little shipping area. Email pics to bambolettapics@gmail.com.
Okay – back to doing faces! I’ll talk to you all soon!
Christina
