Win a doll! See here..
Today was Ben’s last day of school. We were treated to a beautiful puppet show and then a potluck snack time, what a great time. These moments remind me why I’m at this school. Ben’s teacher had asked if I could make the children each a doll as a goodbye gift from the ‘Fairy Mother’ in which I enthusiastically said yes to! What a fun project. I was fortunate enough to have Brandi (more on her later!) on board to help out with this task. So here are a few pics from the day..
I can’t believe the response to ‘Win this Doll’! I’ve had over 100 new subscribers plus all the comments, it’s so fun. I think I’m going to do draws more often. I’m going to go through my fabric stash soon..maybe I’ll have a contest to win that to. So now I definitely know there are more than 15 people who read the blog.
I just finished up this gal for a custom order.. I like her outfit. Notice the different yarn colour on the left sleeve. Oh Nonna, she felt so bad that this happened but she knitted this sweater at night and couldn’t see the colours very well. How cute is she?
Finally, this pic is for the rest of us. I look so enviously at blogs with beautiful pictures of food. Everyone looks like they plating for a Donna Hay cookbook. I love it. I’m just not at all like that. I like to cook, but I don’t plate very well.. anyhow, this is John’s birthday Lemon Meringue pie. He gets it every birthday because it’s his absolute favourite pie. Hmm, to each their own I suppose. Anyhow, Ben was picking the meringue off the sides and I had to test the crust! It tasted good though..
