mammoths and a new thang

First I’ll start off with my new ‘thing’ that I’ve added on to my site. I’ve put up a ‘Custom Doll’ form up on my site for people to order dolls from. I was doing far too much typing asking people what they wanted for their dolls, this way it’s all organized and in one place. So, through this page you’d be able to order a doll and see all the options you can customize from. I’m not sure why I’ve added this now- goodness, I’m almost booked up for Christmas already! But I thought it’s a good thing to have and I’m thinking ahead. There is a big change coming up in our family..very exciting.. but I can’t really blog about it before it happens. Everything is exciting and scary right now. I’m taking pearls of wisdom from Madonna and just ‘getting ready to Jump’ . Ack.

You know it’s amazing how things come to you when you need them. This Eckhart Tolle book is really changing my life. I know, I know- this is so old news with Oprah doing his book and web classes about the book- but I still feel as though I’ve got to spread the word about this. Reading it and understanding it has been so reassuring during this time of flux. I’ve been listening to it while I’m sewing, or driving- going through a few chapters at a time usually having to listen to a chapter several times for it to really sink in. I’m reading it as well, well trying too!

It was my 33rd birthday yesterday. We celebrated as any gal should do on her 33rd birthday and went to the Victoria Museum to see Benjamin’s favorite thing- he wooly mammoth. He loves this thing, I think he is both in love and scared of it- he talks insesently about its tusks- totally fascinated with them. I really like the Native artifacts display. Then we went through to ReBar and had a great lunch. It was a nice day with the family. Quiet and lovely, I couldn’t be any happier.

Very good news here for all you aspiring dollmakers. De Witte Engel has just released their pattern of the month and it’s for a lovely doll, all the instructions can be printed out to work from. It’s been translated to English so I think somethings do get lost in translation, but there are loads of diagrams to help you along.

Great pictures, you’re getting good with your camera! Did you use some of that lighting advice that your boycrush at Blacks gave you?
Oh, I’m putting your stuff in the mail tonight (the receipt and contract) and when are you in town next? I guess I could’ve phoned you rather than leave you a comment..

Happy Birthday! Ahhh, it be 33 again, lol, I just turned 34 a week ago.
I would like to read the new Tolle book too, so it’s really amazing eh? I recently read Peace is Every Step by Thich Nhat Hanh, which changed my life. I should read it again…or the new-ish Tolle book.
