I am so embarrassed that I haven’t blogged in what seems like forever.  I thought I’d do a sort of rambling post – kind of like a month in review type of thing.

-Our summer has been good. We are now enjoying the fruits of our labour – so to speak- with loads of yummy, yummy fruits and veg from our garden. It’s been a lot of this.. *in case you are wondering  about our sad looking peas – yes – they are very sad. we had deer jump our fence last week and chow down on the pea’s, eat our berries and pick at the tomatoes. they get less cute each year that we live here.*

-Lots of this.. foraging around picking blackberries until our hands are stained purple and we feel slightly sick. Blackberry bushes grow wild here everywhere. We must have picked at least 20 pounds so far – our freezer is packed. I’m going to make some jam and vinigar this weekend.

-I’ve also been spending my free time (which for me is the drive to Victoria – while John drives of course) reading Amanda Soule’s ‘Handmade Home’.  What a fantastic book – not just as a ‘how to guide’ full of really great DIY projects but the book also offers great sewing, thrifting and general living tips. I don’t know about you ladies, but I’m always so inspired when I read anything by Amanda.

-We are getting Ben ready for Kindergarten next week. I’m feeling quite sentimental this week and really want to do things like scrapbook. It feels like time is going by so quickly.

-Dolls! This next month we will work hard to get as many custom dolls done as possible. Then for October and November we plan to stock the store to the brim with ready to go dolls – I can’t wait to see a whole bunch of them up there at the same time.. it’ll be like an online craft fair every week. I’ll have regular updates on Facebook. I heart Facebook!

-Now on the other end of the spectrum… have you SEEN this? Something about JT makes me smile yet feel quite old and a bit like a cougar.. Just thought I’d share! I haven’t bought a fragrance since I was – like- 13 years old (remember Obsession?) but I have to give a big thank you! to Givenchy for that video!

Enjoy kindergarten! It does come quickly doesn’t it? (Except on all those long afternoons when nothing came quickly, right?) Your garden looks amazing!!!!

Oh JT! My not-so-secret, makes me feel old, but still totally crush on guy! hee hee Glad to hear I’m not alone!

And wow- those blackberries look amazing. I am so jealous- we only got about a handful of raspberries from our bushes this year.

Justin Timberlake was with Cameron Diaz for years, right? And she’s like 4 years older than I am. I think that makes him TOTALLY fair game. 😉

Yes – JT.. I never really understood the attraction until I saw the ‘Cry Me a River’ video. Then of course the ‘Box’ video just sealed the deal! Can’t resist a sense of humor!

That boy just gets better with age. I love that he isn’t shaving his hair anymore. Funny too, I love his SNL skits.

    Happy Tuesday!

I’m a bit envious. I am in love with anything with blackberries in it — never mind your own garden filled with so many! We only have a tomato plant in our garden this year. LOL

Don’t worry about being a cougar… I became one once I saw Jacob in the New Moon trailer. I’m not ashamed… HAHA
